Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly • National Headquarters

Mission Statement

Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly (LBFE) is a national network of non-profit, volunteer-based organizations committed to relieving isolation and loneliness among the elderly. We offer to people of good will the opportunity to join the elderly in friendship and celebration of life.

Our Motto

The motto flowers before bread expresses our core belief that sharing love and respect and bringing beauty into the lives of the elderly is as essential as meeting their physical needs.  We honor all individuals by meeting the basic needs of the human spirit: to serve others, to love and to be loved, to belong, and to enjoy life.  Our strong belief in this motto is reflected in the activities at all of our locations, which include elegant holiday meals with champagne and flowers, vacations in the country, and individual birthdays celebrated by the delivery of a birthday cake and gift.

Locations in the United States

The LBFE National Headquarters is located in Chicago, and Chapters within the United States are located in Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Omaha, Philadelphia, San Francisco and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (Houghton County).

Thanks to LBFE's Lead Corporate Sponsor

Over the past two years, the AmerisourceBergen Corporation has contributed $230,000 to the Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly network.  We are grateful for Amerisource Bergen's fine example of corporate citizenship and look forward to their continued partnership.
